Filmed in 2009 this is a 19-minute video on the current state of Cuban Chinese 古巴华人 and their mixed-race descendants. Havana used to be called, Little Paris, before 1959. Cantonese Chinese culture flourished there for decades with 4 Chinese newspapers and opera troupes touring the island. Caridad Amaran, a 4-year-old Caucasian orphan embraced the culture and carried the spirit in her heart. Enduring hardship, now 82 years old, she continues to play publicly and also in her own private moments. A Cantonese version of this video is also on Youtube.
